High-performance buildings have always been a priority for us. They provide plentiful daylight and better indoor air quality to positively impact employee health and productivity. Operating expenses are reduced by decreased energy consumption due to high efficiency, automated mechanical systems, natural lighting, and energy efficient, automated lighting systems. We employ green cleaning methods and low-emitting finishes that cut down on the presence of volatile compounds to which some individuals may have sensitivities. Other green practices include recycling construction waste, construction IAQ management, recycled building materials, and low-flow and waterless plumbing fixtures. We set aside parking spaces for bicycles and fuel-efficient vehicles. High-performance green buildings positively impact the environment and the bottom line…but they don’t have to cost more.
